Blog Flash 2012: Day 14

14. Children


He was irate. “Have I to kiss you again to prove it, Alisa?”
She glanced at those hard lips, still stunned that they’d been so gentle on hers. She shook her head despite the rebuilding desire. “It was a mistake.”
He sighed. “You are unbelievable.”
“We aren’t children. What I want can’t be-”
“Me?” He looked hurt, as if that concept physically pained him. “I’m what you want. Aren’t I?”
“No,” she whispered.
“I did not force that kiss, Alisa.”
No, he hadn’t and he needed it confirmed.
But, coward that she was, she only said, “Take me home. Please.”
