This is the twenty-second entry out of the thirty I'm attempting. It is part
of a series of thirty entries so I hope you'll read each daily post to
find out what happens in the end.
Thank you for reading!

They
thought he was on holiday.
Alisa
knew better. She knew it because he’d left the same day they’d kissed, when he’d
torn himself away afterwards. She was equally angry at herself. It wasn’t right
to give into his embraces when there would never be an honourable outcome.
He
was the sort of man she’d wedded once already and, if she knew a thing of
mistakes, it was certainly that one ought not to repeat the same one. Particularly one which had once left her
heart in shambles.
And,
Mr Hurst had the capability to do just that.
And
more.
Aw, please don't let him leave her heart in shambles!
ReplyDeleteOh, that 'and more' gets us every time, doesn't it?! Sigh!! Come back to us, Mr. Hurst!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use the 'Holiday' prompt without breaking away from the story!
