Blog Flash 2012: Day 1

1. Thinking

He ground his teeth as she left him in the parlour.

She wanted him to think about it, did she? She wanted to wring out all the pros and cons of his offer like a business proposal, not a personal one?

Weeks had passed and still, patient as he’d promised to be, he’d not urged her in a single way. But, he thought now, maybe that was proving to be his mistake; allowing her all this time.

And hell, there’d been enough thinking; she’d had enough to last for a lifetime.

And he had enough love to last hers too.
