This
is the fifth entry out of the thirty I'm attempting. It is part of a
series of thirty entries so I hope you'll read each daily post to find
out what happens in the end.
Thank you for reading!
“Will she reject me
like she would a bloody stable boy? Has she set out to avoid me now?”
“I wouldn't know,” the butler had stolidly replied.
“Then find out!”
Upon returning, “She looks to rest after the long day.”
He understood it could’ve been true but he was frustrated after being embarrassingly disallowed. So, he remained sitting in the waiting room for
a further half-hour.
“May I just say that your presence will only slander
her reputation?”
Was it because the wiry old man made sense or was he tired
of noting the rosewood table when he finally left?
