Blog Flash 2012: Day 30

We're at the end of the Blog Flash 2012 challenge, my lovely readers!
Thank you for reading. I've enjoyed every minute of it and I hope you've enjoyed following my characters in their story!

30. Winning

“What does that mean exactly?”
“That I’d have ravished you at the first chance received.”
“This is your chance,” she whispered.
She had to leave . . .
“You shouldn’t be here.”
She looked regretful. “Do you want me to leave?”
. . . but his need was winning against his sense.
 “God, never.”
A teary laugh shook her.
“Do you object?” he asked.
Never had a question made him feel so vulnerable before.
She smiled at him warmly and laid her hand on the beat of his chest. “Never, I promise.”
“Marry me, Alisa,” he said with a heart completely hers.
She flung her arms around him. “Oh yes, Graham!”

  1. Beautiful! I loved the angst and vulnerability all through, you kept us guessing, but I'm so glad they saw sense!

  3. I completely agree with Ruth! When I finally read his name my heart did a little flip-flop.

Lovely story, my friend. I was cheering for them the whole time and yet so unsure what would come of them. Your story is full of swoons and giggles and frustration and all the things a reader longs for when partaking in a historical romance!

  4. I'm so pleased they got their happy ending! Tension and misunderstandings were beautifully played out before you brought them here. Thank you so much, Afsaneh!

  5. Wow. This story was an absolute pleasure to read! I'm so glad I took the time to read the whole thing through in one sitting. I really felt for both characters and admired their struggles. Are you turning this into a longer story? A novel perhaps? I liked both characters a lot and would definitely read more! Well done. :) :)
